Free Crochet Pattern – Belle’s Beautiful Cowl

I don’t know about you, but I am SO excited for the new Beauty and the Beast film releasing in theatres this March! To get in the spirit, I designed this princess-esque crochet pattern for my little girl. You can make one too! Here’s what you need…

Materials
Bernat Roving Super Bulky (120.0 yards (109.7 meters), 100 grams) 1 ball in ‘Squashed’.
6.5mm crochet hook
Yarn needle, Stitch markerScissors

Notes

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Use a stitch marker in the first stitch of each new round.

Abbreviations
sc – single crochet
ch – chain
sp- space
dc- double crochet

Pattern
Ch 127.
Round 1:  Sc in  2nd ch from hook, *skip 2 chs, 5 dc in next, skip 2 chs, sc in next; repeat from * around–105 dc, 21 sc.
Round 2:  *5 dc in next sc, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * around–105 dc, 21 sc.
Round 3:  *Skip 2 dc, sc in next dc, 5 dc in next sc; repeat from * around–105 dc, 21 sc.
Rounds 4-12:  Repeat Rounds 2-3. Continue to Border.

Border
Round 1:  
Sl st in next st, ch 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in each st around–126 hdc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Repeat Round 1 on bottom edge of cowl.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
